For the first time this year, two editions of the Pre-Student Awards Seminar were organized: one in Paris and the second in Casablanca. Morocco, welcomed the members of USAIRE as well as Mahdi CHAIBI member of ORAJe in the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and the Digital Economy to congratulate the Moroccan participants and to accompany the 5 finalists of the country to the next stage of the competition.
Nearly 40 Moroccan students took part in the USAIRE Student Awards 2018, marking a resounding entry for the country in the competition. At the end of the pre-selection phase, 3 works are among the 15 finalists. Not less than 5 students had the chance to make their final submissions to the jury in early September.
Moroccan Minister Moulay Hafid ELALAMY began by opening the conference by insisting the importance of Franco-Moroccan relations in the aeronautics industry and then expressed his gratitude to the Moroccan students offering great prospects for the future of this industry.
The conference continued with the intervention of Romain Poly, a member of USAIRE, Carl Chevillon General Treasurer of USAIRE and Karim Cheikh, President of GIMAS who all expressed their admiration for the level of Moroccan students this year and insisted on the role of USAIRE and ORAJe to create strong relations between the two countries in the aeronautical field.
The 5 finalist students were able to expose the ideas contained in their one-pager in front of an attentive public.
