The city of Cannes hosted the weekend of April 21st and 22nd the RedBull Air Race. This aerobatic race where pilots are subjected to under 12G took place under a beautiful sun and gathered more than 100 000 people over the weekend.
It is in this festive aeronautical atmosphere that a dozen ORAJe members attended this impressive show, which took place for the first time in France This mechanical sport is little known to the general public (and sometimes even the aeronautical world!), it is a lot of curious who wandered this weekend on the Croisette.
Thanks to the animations on the spot, the members of ORAJe were able to discover the technical specificities of the planes (Edge 540 MXS R and Extra 330 LX mainly) as well as the complex regulation of this captivating race. Indeed, the safety of the pilots being paramount, the speeds of entry in the circuit and the G suffered by the pilots are measured continuously and involve penalties which can upset the classification!
This weekend was also an opportunity for the ORAJe members to gather around friendly moments, brainstorm about the current and future activities of the association, discover the old town of Cannes. I remember in particular our lunch on the beach, ballads within the Village of the race and general good mood.
This weekend is part of a desire to bring members together to strengthen the links between ORAJe members. It is in this momentum that several afterworks and meals have been organized in the Paris region and in Toulouse. These privileged and relaxed moments make it possible to form good friendships, offering members much more than a professional network.
