ORAJe members had the privilege of meeting Emmanuel Chiva, head of DGA – Direction générale de l’armement, during the USAIRE Luncheon on September 16th.

Mr. Chiva spoke about lessons from the war in Ukraine, France’s defense planning, strategies for the defense industrial base, and international cooperation, among other key topics.

A special thanks to Mr. Chiva for sharing his extensive knowledge with us, and to USAIRE for continuously providing invaluable opportunities to ORAJe members.

The luncheon followed the USAIRE general assembly, where ORAJe President Héloïse Conte presented a review of ORAJe’s activities over the past year, along with key insights on the 2024 edition of the USAIRE Student Awards competition.
