ABOUT
USAIRE: The business club at the origin of the USAIRE Student Awards

Since 1959, USAIRE (Association of United States and European Aerospace Industry Representatives) has been a professional network dedicated to fostering international cooperation and strengthening ties between public and private stakeholders in the civil and defense aerospace industry. USAIRE currently has around 200 representatives from American and European companies and government agencies.
During friendly professional events, USAIRE invites senior executives to meet its members and share perspectives. These events provide an opportunity for invited guests and USAIRE members to network and share views on a topic related to aerospace or related issues, such as economic or geopolitical matters.
USAIRE is also committed to supporting young talents in cooperation with ORAJe (Organisation des Rencontres Aéronautiques de la Jeunesse – gathering all finalists and laureates of the USAIRE Student Awards over the last 20 years). Every year since 2006, the USAIRE Student Awards have challenged students worldwide to envision the future of the aerospace and defense industry through a 10-page essay. Through this competition, USAIRE encourages students to awaken their innovative spirit and connect with aerospace and defense professionals.
During USAIRE’s annual Thanksgiving dinner, five to ten students are awarded for their USAIRE Student Awards essays, and an industry leader is honored as Personality of the Year. Around 300 senior executives, government officials, diplomats, parliamentarians, high-ranking military officers, and airline presidents attend this gala dinner.

“At USAIRE, we strongly believe that the future of the aerospace and defense industry depends on creativity, ambition, and vision of the next generation. This is why we have been committed to fostering young talents through the USAIRE Student Awards since 2006.
Every year, we challenge students from around the world to think critically about the future of our industry. Through their essays, they explore innovative ideas, tackle emerging challenges, and contribute with fresh perspectives that inspire both their peers and industry professionals.
Beyond the competition itself, the USAIRE Student Awards is a bridge between academia and industry. It offers students a unique opportunity to connect with senior executives, expand their professional networks, and gain invaluable insights into the aerospace and defense sectors. ORAJe, the Student Awards alumni network, offers in this sense a privileged forum.
To all students considering participating: seize this opportunity to share your vision, engage with industry leaders, and take a step toward shaping the future. We look forward to discovering your ideas and welcoming you into the USAIRE community.”
