An Unforgettable Day at the Paris Air Show with the 2023 USAIRE Student Awards Finalists! 🛫

On June 23rd, a one-day event was organized at the Paris Air Show for the esteemed finalists of the USAIRE Student Awards. This highly anticipated gathering provided an exceptional platform for young talents to connect, learn, and inspire one another. Let’s take a moment to reflect on the highlights of this exciting day that unfolded before us!

The event took off with a presentation at the Boeing media chalet, setting the tone for an enlightening and engaging day. A convivial breakfast graciously offered by Boeing further enhanced the warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Between breakfast and Boeing’s corporate and sustainability presentations by Jean-Marc FRON, Managing Director Boeing France, the kick-off presentation was given by Claire GUILHOT, Secretary General of USAIRE, and Héloïse CONTE, President of ORAJe.

Claire and Héloïse set the stage for the day’s events, emphasizing the significance of the USAIRE Student Awards and the importance of nurturing young talent in the aviation industry. The kick-off presentation served as a powerful reminder of the collaborative efforts between USAIRE and ORAJe to empower and support the next generation of aviation professionals.

Throughout the day, the participants were treated to insightful briefings on the contest topic by industry professionals, including Theo WENSICK and William AST from Embraer, and General Gui Girier from Airbus. These sessions provided valuable insights and guidance, encouraging lively discussions and fostering a deeper understanding of the aviation landscape.

A special highlight of the day was a captivating presentation offered by the previous winners of the USAIRE Student Awards, Tomás Machado and Mathis Simoens. Their remarkable report and inspiring journey served as a powerful source of motivation and inspiration for the current finalists.

The delegates had the privilege of exploring Embraer and Airbus static display, witnessing the latest innovations in aerospace technology.

Defense was also on the agenda: MBDA showcased the future of collaborative combat and its hypersonic missile interceptor project.

This event at the Paris Air Show exemplified ORAJe’s commitment to connecting, inspiring, and empowering the next generation of aviation professionals. It showcased the industry’s dedication to supporting young talents and bridging the gap between academia and industry.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Airbus, Boeing, Embraer and MBDA for their invaluable contributions in making this event a resounding success.

As we reflect on this remarkable day, we remain inspired by the passion, enthusiasm, and determination exhibited by the USAIRE Student Awards finalists. We are confident that these young talents will continue to make significant contributions to the aviation industry and drive innovation forward.
